What Talon does
Talon is a habit-building app that generates personalized actions to help build momentum toward your goals. You share what you're working toward, and Talon delivers one action at a time designed to build consistency.
Age Requirement
Talon is intended for users 13 years of age or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent before using the app.
Health & Safety
Talon is not a medical, financial, legal, or therapeutic service. Actions generated by Talon are general habit-building suggestions and should not replace professional advice. Always consult qualified professionals for health, financial, or legal decisions.
How your data is used
When you create a goal, Talon collects what you provide: your name, goal category, target description, current situation, experience level, and time availability.
As you complete actions, your check-in answers and reflections are recorded. Your progress is summarized into a rolling narrative that helps Talon generate increasingly relevant actions.
Storage
Account information, goal data, action history, streak data, and progress summaries are stored securely on cloud servers and are never accessible to third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.
AI-powered actions
Talon uses Anthropic's Claude, a large language model, to generate personalized actions, check-in questions, and progress summaries.
When an action is generated, the following data is sent to Anthropic's API for processing: your goal data, check-in answers, reflections, and rolling progress summary. Anthropic acts as a sub-processor and processes this data solely to generate your response. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models. No raw action history is sent — only a condensed summary of your progress.

Subscriptions & Payments
Talon offers optional paid subscriptions to unlock full access to the app. Subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Talon does not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID credentials.
Subscription Management
Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service. RevenueCat receives anonymized purchase data from Apple to verify your subscription status. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or any personal information from Talon. You can review RevenueCat's privacy practices at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Renewal & Cancellation
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
What Talon does not do
Talon does not sell your data. Talon does not share your data with advertisers. Your data is not used for any purpose other than powering your Talon experience.
Talon does not collect location data, contacts, or any information beyond what you directly provide in the app.
Google Sign-In data
When you sign in with Google, Talon requests access to a limited set of Google account data through Google's OAuth consent screen. This section discloses exactly what is accessed, how it is used, how it is stored, and how it is shared, in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
Data accessed
Through the standard Google Sign-In scopes, Talon receives:
- Your Google account email address (scope:
email) - Your Google account name and profile picture URL (scope:
profile) - A unique Google account identifier used for authentication (scope:
openid)
Talon does not request and does not access your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Google Photos, or any other Google service.
Data usage
The data above is used solely to:
- Verify your identity at sign-in
- Create your Talon user account — your email and name are saved to your Talon profile
- Recognize you on return sign-ins
Google user data is never used for advertising, analytics, profiling, or AI model training.
Data storage
Your email and name are stored on Talon's secure cloud backend (Appwrite) as part of your Talon user record — the same way they would be stored if you signed up with email and password. The Google profile picture URL is not retained. The Google account identifier is used at the moment of sign-in and is not stored on your user record.
Data sharing
Google user data is never sold and is never shared with advertisers or any third party for commercial purposes. The only sub-processor involved is Appwrite, which handles the OAuth callback and stores the Talon account record. No Google user data is transmitted to Anthropic.
Talon's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke Talon's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Retention & security
Google user data is retained only for as long as your Talon account remains active. When you delete your Talon account through the Settings page, all associated data — including the email and name received via Google Sign-In — is permanently removed from Talon's systems. You may request deletion or ask any question about your data at any time by contacting support@talonapp.co.
All data, including Google user data, is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest within Talon's cloud backend (Appwrite). Access is restricted to authenticated user sessions and authorized internal operations required to deliver the Talon experience.
Your control
Any goal can be deleted at any time. Your account can be deleted through the Settings page, which permanently removes all associated data. Talon retains your personal information only for as long as your account remains active or as required to comply with applicable legal obligations.
Account responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. All activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility. If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, contact support@talonapp.co immediately.
Acceptable use
Talon is for personal habit-building use only. Goal text and any content you submit must not contain harmful, discriminatory, or illegal material. Attempting to use Talon's AI system to generate harmful or inappropriate content may result in account suspension or termination.
Legal
Intellectual property
The Talon app, its design, branding, and all associated content are owned by Talon's developers and protected under applicable intellectual property laws. Personal information and goal text you provide remain yours. By using Talon, you grant a limited license to use that information solely to generate your in-app experience.
Availability
Talon is provided as-is. Features may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time. Talon is not liable for any outcomes resulting from actions you choose to take based on its suggestions.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from the use of Talon will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Florida.
